Sevilla Heads Ohio Academy of Family Physicians
SALEM, Ohio – Mike Sevilla, M.D., recently was sworn in as the 2020-21 president of the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians during its virtual annual membership meeting.
Sevilla is in private practice at the Family Practice Center here, and serves on the board of directors of the Salem Regional Medical Center. He is also an associate professor of family and community medicine at Northeast Ohio Medical University.
He has held numerous leadership positions since joining the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians in 2001. The professional association has more than 5,,200 members.
During his installation address, he discussed the challenges family physicians face, and the importance of advocacy and empowerment in today’s unprecedented times.
Sevilla earned his medical degree from NEOMED in 1998 and completed his residency at Barberton Citizens Hospital in Barberton.
