Inn at Poland Way to Break Ground this Morning
POLAND, Ohio – EDM Management Inc. and Briarfield Healthcare Centers will break ground today on the new Inn at Poland Way.
The invitation-only event will begin with a breakfast reception at the Poland Township Administration Building followed by a groundbreaking at the project site.
The 76,000-square-foot assisted living center is being built on a 6.5-acre parcel along U.S. route 224 just east of Clingan Road. The 89-unit project will include 64 assisted living units and 25 memory care beds for individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other memory disorders.
“Briarfield Healthcare’s intent is to design and build senior living facilities that meet a need,” said Edward J. Reese, CEO of EDM and Briarfield, in a news release announcing tomorrow’s event. “Studies show that The Inn at Poland Way will do just that.” Once completed, the center “will provide full-service amenities in a safe environment that promotes aging in a place” for seniors in Poland, Struthers, Campbell, Lowellville and western Pennsylvania.
Other amenities include a common area, main dining room, private dining room for special occasions, beauty salon and spa services, housekeeping and laundry, daily social events and entertainment.
The $12 million center will create about 50 full-time equivalent upon its projected completion next fall. The Western Reserve Port Authority approved financing for the project in August.
A.P. O’Horo Inc., Youngstown, is the general contractor on the project. Strollo Architects Inc., Youngstown, is the lead architect.
