A Third Michael Stanley Band Celebration Concert Is Scheduled

CLEVELAND –To meet demand, a third Michael Stanley celebration concert has been added at MGM Northfield Park Center Stage. It will be at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the venue. Tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets for the first concert, Dec. 3, sold out within hours, so a second show was added on Dec. 4. That also sold out the day tickets went on sale. The two concerts set a record for fastest sellouts at MGM Northfield Park, according to a press release.

The concert, titled “Michael Stanley, Among My Friends Again,” will feature members of Michael Stanley and the Resonators, with special guest Jonah Koslen. The set list for the three concerts will include songs spanning five decades of Stanley’s career, from the Michael Stanley Band to The Resonators.

As with the first two scheduled concerts, a portion of every ticket sold for the Dec. 5 concert will be donated to the newly formed 10,000 Watts of Holy Light Fund of The Cleveland Foundation.

The fund will identify Cleveland-centric organizations and dedicate donations to them.

“We are simply overwhelmed regarding the response to this celebration and want to thank Michael Stanley fans from throughout the Heartland and across America for the outpouring of love,” said Stanley’s daughters, Anna Sary and Sarah Sharp.

Fans can take part in the concert celebrations regardless of whether they attend through their photographs

So many have had photos taken with Stanley throughout his career. Fans can post their photo and make a $20 donation to the 10,000 Watts fund at michaelstanley.com.

The fan photos will create a mosaic of memories that will be featured prior to each evening’s concert on the giant video screens.
