AAA to Host Free Battery and Electrical System Check
NILES, Ohio – AAA East Central will offer a free battery and electrical system check from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at its branch office at 937 Youngstown-Warren Road.
At its Battery Wellness Clinic, technicians will determine if drivers’ batteries are strong enough to endure the cold winter months. If needed, drivers can purchase batteries on-site.
“Summer heat breaks down the components inside a battery, making them susceptible to failure in cold weather,” a AAA news release states. “AAA’s No. 1 service call during the winter is for dead batteries, and in 2022, AAA East Central responded to more than 270,000 battery-related calls.”
