AAA to Host Free Shredding Event at Boardman Office

BOARDMAN, Ohio – AAA members and nonmembers are invited to an event to help protect them from identity theft, which has become one of the most prevalent and costly crimes in America.

AAA East Central is hosting a free shredding event from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the AAA Boardman branch office, 1275 Boardman-Canfield Road.

Members can bring up to five storage boxes filled with personally identifiable information. Nonmembers can bring three boxes.

Items to consider may contain names, birthdates and account numbers such as credit card offers, bank statements, old checkbooks, tax forms and other paperwork, medical records, credit reports, personal records, insurance records and financial statements.

All items will be shredded on-site, and the shredded materials will be recycled.
