Acclaimed Hard Rock Band King’s X Coming to Robins

WARREN, Ohio – King’s X will come to Robins Theatre on Friday, Sept. 8, for an 8 p.m. concert.

Tickets range from $40 to $65 (plus applicable fees) and will go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, May 12, at the box office and at robinstheatre.com. A presale for members of Friends of the Robins Theatre will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday.

King’s X combines progressive metal, funk and soul with vocal arrangements influenced by gospel, blues and British Invasion rock groups. The band was ranked No. 83 on VH1’s list of greatest hard rock bands. Its hits include “Its Love,” “Black Flag” and “Dog Man.”

The band debuted in 1988 with its acclaimed “Out of the Silent Planet” album.

The 2019 book “King’s X: The Oral History,” by Greg Prato, includes testimonials about the band from Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam, Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins, Andy Summers of The Police, Scott Ian of Anthrax, Dean DeLeo of Stone Temple Pilots, Rex Brown of Pantera and others.
