Accounting and Auditing Update Set for Aug. 11

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration will host the Youngstown Accounting and Auditing Update led led by Kurt G. Oestrecher Aug. 11 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

The update takes place in Williamson Hall on campus and covers new developments in accounting and auditing standards including advice on compliance with professional regulations. This comprehensive course covers relevant pronouncements, exposure drafts and other guidance recently issued in the accounting, auditing, review, and compilation arenas.

Oestrecher has a decade of experience covering accounting and auditing services as a partner with Oestriecher and Company in Alexandria, La. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and currently serves on the Accounting and Review Services Committee, which issues the Statements and Standards for Accounting and Review Services. He functions in many capacities for the Louisiana Society of CPAs on its board and varying committees and is president-elect of the LCPA and past president of the Central Louisiana Chapter of Society of Louisiana CPAs.
