Adamas Owner to Retire, Holds Liquidation Sale
BOARDMAN, Ohio – Adamas Jewlery & Gifts is holding a liquidation sale at its store, 8391 Market St., that starts and runs through Sunday. Everything is 30 to 80% off, said its owner, Judy Rafoth.
The business has been family owned and selling jewelry and gifts in the Mahoning Valley since 1952.Rafoth purchased it from Clarence Smith Jr. about 10 years ago.
Rafoth is holding the sale because she is retiring early next year and wants to lower the inventory in the store, so that “it’s more manageable for whoever is the next owner,” she says.
She is currently searching for a buyer and says she wants to keep the Adamas name in the Valley.
Sale time and days are: noon to 7 p.m. on Nov. 16; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Nov. 17; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 18; and noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 19.
The store sells over 150 gemstones from across the country according to its website. It also sells a number of upscale brands, including Pandora, Simon G, Martin Flyer, Bulova Accutron and Waterford Crystal.
