AHN Grove City Welcomes Surgical Oncologist Allen
GROVE CITY, Pa. – Allegheny Health Network Grove City Hospital recently announced that surgical oncologist Casey Allen, MD is now providing advanced care for patients there.
Allen earned his medical degree in his hometown at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, and completed his general surgical residence at the University of Miami, Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fla. He completed his fellowship in surgical oncology at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston.
Allen specializes in the surgical treatment of complex tumors, caring for patients with primary and metastatic intra-abdominal cancers, skin and soft tissue malignancies, as well as those with rare diseases including sarcoma and neuroendocrine tumors.
His specific interest in providing evidence- and value-based individualized treatment for patients has brought Dr. Allen national recognition as a speaker at some of the industry’s most prominent medical and scientific conferences. He has published more than 70 research papers and has been the lead author for numerous book chapters focusing on those topics.
Dr. Allen will provide pre- and post-operative care for patients at AHN Grove City. He can perform surgical procedures at both AHN Grove City and the nearby AHN Wexford Hospital.
