Aim Services to Acquire Bessemer Supply

GIRARD, Ohio — Aim Services Co., part of the Aim Family of Companies, has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Bessemer Supply Inc. in Bessemer, Pa. Aim will continue to operate at both locations, the company said in a media release announcing the purchase.

Aim Services, which began operations in July 2013, has become a leading provider of transportation services to the oil and gas industry in the Utica and Marcellus shale plays. Founded by Kim Parrott in the early 1980s, Bessemer Supply has grown to be a diverse trucking company servicing the building materials, oil and gas, and steel industries.

As Parrott looked to transitioning into retirement, his main concern was to find a company that would continue the legacy he built of caring for his employees and servicing his customers.

“We were looking at options to grow our fleet and diversify our menu of services, and when this opportunity came to the table, it made perfect sense for us,” said Jason Olesh, director of business development for Aim Services.

“Bessemer Supply brings a solid, diverse customer base, a great group of employees who take pride in their work, and a brick and mortar location that fits well in our footprint and growth plan.”
The companies “also share a common value system of family-owned businesses who build their reputation through hard work and caring about their employees,” he added.

“We look forward to building on the tradition of service Kim and his people at Bessemer Supply have had, and will work to provide a seamless transition for the customers and employees who will now be part of the Aim Family,” added Scott Fleming, Aim Services president. “The combined fleet size, mix of equipment types and facility locations we bring to the table make Aim Services a major provider in the region.”
