Akron Children’s Names Cao Vice President of Enterprise Analytics

AKRON, Ohio – Ge (Gary) Cao this week was named to the new position of vice president of enterprise analytics at Akron Children’s Hospital.

Cao joined the hospital April 1. In his new role, he will oversee data and analytics strategy in support of the hospital’s strategic imperatives and goals. He joined Akron Children’s after serving in data and analytics leadership roles with Anthem, IXI Corp., Cardinal Health and most recently U.S. Venture Inc., where he led the strategic transformation initiative and team on data and analytics.

Cao holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Peking University in Beijing, China. He also earned an master’s degree in economics from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, a master’s in engineering and technology management from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Tulane University in New Orleans.

He was awarded “Industry Leader” status in the Analytics Hall of Fame in 2019 and is a frequent speaker and adviser for the International Institute for Analytics and the MIT Chief Data Officer and Info Quality Symposium.
