Akron Children’s Names Uli Director of Endocrinology

AKRON, Ohio – Endocrinologist Naveen Uli, M.D., has joined Akron Children’s Hospital as medical director for the Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology. 

In addition to overseeing the center, Dr. Uli sees patients with diabetes and other pediatric endocrine disorders. His special clinical interests are Prader-Willi syndrome, thyroid disorders and obesity in youth. 

Most recently, he was a physician and director of pediatric endocrinology fellowships at University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland. He is also an associate professor in pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.  

Uli completed his fellowship in pediatric endocrinology at New York University Medical Center – Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City. His pediatrics residency was at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center, also in New York, and he earned his medical degree from Government Medical College, University of Mysore, Karnataka State, in India.  

Akron Children’s Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology’s team of board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, nurse practitioners and nurses specialize in the care of children with growth, puberty, diabetes or other hormonal disorders.
