Akron Children’s to Add Audiology at Boardman Campus
BOARDMAN, Ohio – Beginning July 30, the Beeghly Campus of Akron Children’s Hospital in Boardman will offer audiology services for children and young adults.
Led by Dr. Kathtryn Freeland, who also leads the audiology department at Akron Children’s office in Warren, the audiology ream diagnoses and treats hearing loss, provides hearing aids and coordinates follow-up services for intervention, monitoring and continuing evaluations.
Among the services available are behavioral audiometry, tympanometry, otoacusitc emission testing, audiotry processing evaluations, auditory brainstem evoked response testing and auditory steady state response testing.
Hearing aids, both digital and bone-anchored, are available with clearance from an otolaryngoloist.
