Aldi Plans Early 2025 Opening for Poland Store

POLAND TOWNSHIP, Ohio – An Aldi grocery store will be built at the site of a former self-storge facility in the township.

The new store is expected to open in early 2025, Corey Stucker, Hinkley Division vice president for the Germany-based retailer, said in an email Thursday.

Robert Abramovich, executive vice president and director of operations with Chagrin Falls-based Flicore, confirmed Tuesday that the grocery store would be built at 6439 Clingan Road. Work began this week at the site.

Butterfli Holdings 023, an affiliate of Flicore, purchased the 2.8-acre site for $1.1 million May 20, Mahoning County records show.

The new Aldi store will offer approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space, making it easier to navigate than traditional grocery stores, according to Stucker.

“The consistent size of Aldi grocery stores across the country is a part of our formula for success. Every Aldi has a similar, easy-to-navigate layout,” he said.
