All Eastern Gateway Nursing Students Pass Licensure Exam
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio – All Eastern Gateway Community College nursing students passed the National Council Licensure Examination, giving the college a 100 total pass rate.
Nineteen students, 17 from Ohio and two from West Virginia, took the exam and are now licensed to begin working in the medical field to fill nursing vacancies.
“Our students continue to excel thanks to their hard work and commitment, and also because our dedicated faculty in the nursing program has set and continues to exceed the highest bar for excellence,” Eastern Gateway interim President John Crooks said in a news release.
Kathleen Rogers, associate professor and program administrator for the ADN program at Eastern Gateway, said the school and faculty are proud of the students’ accomplishments.
“Our nursing students are prepared to make a difference in the lives of so many people in the communities they are destined to serve,” she said in the release.
