America Makes Announces Two Rapid Innovation Calls

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – America Makes has issued two rapid innovational calls worth $100,000 in funding from the Air Force Research Laboratory.

The member-driven call is for the development of a searchable database of additive manufacturing materials. It must compile mechanical and physical property data and pedigree information from more than 75 America Makes projects. There is no cost share requirement for this project.

The government-driven call is to build on earlier efforts of developing and demonstration reference materials for process monitoring instrumentation widely used in additive manufacturing. There is a 25% cost share requirement.

The deadline for submissions is 5 p.m. Feb. 8. The awards for each project, $50,000 each, will be announced Feb. 22
