America Makes Names Ribic Technology Director

Brandon Ribic has been named technology director for America Makes. He fills the position held by John Wilczynski, who was named executive director of the additive manufacturing hub in June. Ribic previously served as a joining engineer with the Rolls-Royce Corp. Materials Technology Center. He earned his doctoral degree in materials science and engineering from Penn State University, and has several patents pending in the area of laser additive manufacturing. “I personally cannot think of anyone more ideally suited for the technology director position than Brandon,” says Wilczynski. “With his metallurgical background combined with his AM experience, as well as his ongoing involvement throughout the years with our governance board and roadmap advisory group, Brandon is not only well-versed in the mission of America Makes, but also completely dedicated to fulfilling that mission.”
