America Makes Opens Annual Meeting to Non-Members
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – America Makes’ annual meeting will be held Nov. 15 and 16 at the Stambaugh Auditorium ballroom here and, for the first time, it will be open to non-members.
Among the highlights of the Members Meeting and Exchange are updates on the institute, reports on research projects and mixers for attendees.
“Our collaborative model has proven that we can achieve more as a united community to achieve our goal of advancing additive manufacturing technology development, adoption, commercialization, and education,” said Tiffany Westbay, America Makes’ membership director. “It is our hope that non-members will take advantage of the opportunity to participate in the Members Meeting and Exchange to gain a better understanding of our work, our achievements and our membership community.”
Three levels of membership are available, which include access to intellectual properties, technical presentations and project calls.
Registration for the annual meeting can be completed here. Tickets are $299 for non-members, $150 for members and $95 for government workers. Free tours are available Nov. 14.
America Makes has more than 190 members and recently added a cost-sharing effort, @Program, which allows members to receive a credit of up to $5,000. Members of the top two levels can also sponsor memberships for entry-level members.
“We want to make membership a more feasible option to those interested in joining America Makes,” said Westbay. “There’s this misconception that our stakeholders are comprised of mostly large organizations. In reality, a third of our members are small- to medium-sized companies.”
