Ankle & Foot Care Launches Shoe and Sock Drive

BOARDMAN, Ohio – Ankle & Foot Care Centers has launched its 20th annual Holiday Shoe and Sock Drive. Running through Jan. 5, the drive collects new socks and shoes for the Salvation Army.

Donations can be made at all 20 Ankle & Foot Care Centers offices in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Stark, Ashtabula and Portage counties in Ohio and Mercer County in Pennsylvania. A directory of locations can be found at AnkleAndFootCare.com.

“It is very important for individuals to have good socks and shoes to protect their feet, especially during the winter months,” said practice administrator Michael Vallas in a release. “Our doctors and staff have made it a priority this holiday season to support families in need by supplying adequate footwear for people of all ages.”

Since it was started in 1998, the drive has collected thousands of pairs of shoes and socks. This year’s goal is 500.
