‘Antifa’ Movement Plans Its Own Trump Protest
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Another organization is planning a protest rally against President Trump’s speech tonight.
The Ohio chapter of Refuse Fascism, a group affiliated with the loosely organized Antifa (anti-fascist) movement, says it will hold a “Say NO! to Trump” Rally in Youngstown” at 4 p.m. in front of the Covelli Centre.
The group’s event page on Facebook has a dark red photograph of President Trump with the following text: “If you treat cancer with only pain killers and you don’t get rid of the cells that are mutating and destroying your body it will destroy your body. We face a political cancer and it must be driven from power.”
According to the Facebook page, the event is aimed at those in the local area and across Ohio, Indiana and Pennsylvania.
Refuse Fascism’s website also refers to the Northeast Ohio Correctional Center in Youngstown as “home to one of the largest immigrant dentition centers in the U.S.”
A representative from Refuse Fascism recently appeared on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” calling President Trump “more dangerous than Hitler.”
Organizations affiliated with Antifa have been involved in various confrontations on college campuses with speakers ranging from writer Anne Coulter to self-proclaimed Alt-Right spokesman Milo Yiannopoulos.
