Apostolakis Dealerships Earn Honda Customer Service Awards
HERMITAGE, Pa. – As two of his dealerships were presented with awards Thursday from Honda Financial Services, John Apostolakis credited “the clientele, the product and the people” for setting his car dealership apart from his competition.
“Everyone says it, but I mean it. If you don’t have a good product, staff or customers, it won’t do you any good. You have to have the triangle of all three,” he said. Apostolakis is the president of Shenango Honda and Apostolakis Honda Mazda in Cortland.
Shenango Honda was awarded Honda Financial Services’ 2016 Council of Excellence Award for the eighth consecutive year, and Apostolakis Mazda received the award for the seventh time since it opened in 2002. Shenango Honda also received the Honda Customer Service Experience Award and First Fixed Visit Award.
Honda Financial Services recognizes just 15% of Honda dealerships with the Council of Excellence award, which is why it is “one of the most prestigious awards you could win with Honda,” Apostolakis said.
Apostolakis praised his team and customers at Shenango Honda. The dealership employs 40 full-time and he hopes to create five jobs in the upcoming year as he strives to win the award for the ninth time.
Sales have increased every year since the dealership opened in 1980 and more than half of business is a returning customer, he said.
“I am very blessed that both my stores are hitting these awards. It is a very unique thing,” Apostolakis said.
