2019 Home Sales Volume Up in 3-County Region
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio — Residential housing sales in Mahoning, Columbiana and Trumbull counties saw gains in sales volume in 2019 compared to 2018.
According to December 2019 data from the Youngstown/Columbiana Association of Realtors, Mahoning County recorded $371.5 million in sales volume year-to-date, up 11.6% from $333 million for the same period in 2018.
Columbiana County reported $114.5 million year-to-date in December, up from $97.9 million, a 17% increase.
The Warren Area Board of Realtors reported in December that Trumbull County saw $237.7 million year-to-date, up 8.3% from $219 million in 2018.
Average sale price in Mahoning County for December 2019 remained largely unchanged year-over-year at $129,791, compared to $129,809 in December 2018. However, it was down from $136,311 in November.
Columbiana County’s average sale price decreased to $119,026 from $122,928 in November, but was up from December 2018 when the average sale price was $112,011.
In Trumbull County, December’s average sale price increased to $121,453, up from $111,569 in November. It was also up from $107,528 in December 2018.
In December, Mahoning County saw 232 houses sold, down from 250 in November. Columbiana County recorded 73 houses sold, up from 65 in November. And in Trumbull County, 162 houses were sold for the month, up from 156 in November.
