LIBERTY TOWNSHIP – HD Growth Partners saw more change in 2023 than in any previous year, reports Tim Petrey, managing partner.
The firm – formerly HD Davis CPAs – completed its first full year (and tax season) in its new office in Liberty Township; completed a merger with Warren-based Sforza & Walker; executed a rebranding effort; and nearly doubled its staff.
HD Growth Partners also showed 35% revenue growth over the previous fiscal year, according to Petrey.
The firm made sweeping changes to its marketing and branding to align with its new physical space and expanded team. Its website, HDGrowthPartners.com, offers a clear representation of the firm’s history, services, vision and staff members.
Last year HD Growth Partners grew to 62 employees from 48, Petrey says. The firm added four new partners: Christine Graygo, Henry Sforza, John Marlatt and Ken McBride.
Also in 2023, the firm began using new management software, which gives managers a deeper understanding of employee workloads and client status. The new system made it possible to transition 60% of clients to a digital subscription model, advancing the goal of becoming paperless, Petrey says.
Honors received in 2023 include being named to Crain’s Best Employers in Ohio list for the second year in a row; Accounting Today’s list of Best Accounting First to Work For, for the third year in a row; and Best HR Team in America.
HD Growth Partners’ community involvement included raising $15,305 for Sebastian’s Playgrounds. And the firm helped its clients in East Palestine recover from the train derailment by assisting them in obtaining resources made available to small businesses.
