YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Youngstown Area Goodwill Industries, a nonprofit that has served eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania for more than 125 years, enhanced its mission in 2021 to expand employment and training opportunities for those with disabilities or other barriers.
Goodwill entered 2021 fresh off store openings in Salem and Greenville, Pa., and concluded by opening its new Austintown store in October, says CEO Mark Goloja.
Youngstown Goodwill operates 10 retail outlets in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
Last year, the organization co-hosted job fairs in collaboration with other Ohio Goodwill chapters. The nonprofit also increased wages across the organization.
“We look forward to growing our teams by providing competitive compensation, a positive work environment and growth opportunities,” says Deanne Smith, vice president, human Resources.
Additionally, Goodwill’s Business Services Division creates employment opportunities and provides a variety of professional services to area businesses. These include janitorial, lawn care, commercial laundry and custom contracts.
