SHARON, Pa. – Kismet PEO saw “transformative” growth in 2023 resulting from investments in technology and people and expanded its reach into new markets and industries, according to Lew Kachulis, owner and CEO.
The merger with Florida-based NovaHR expanded Kismet’s client base and its geographical services footprint, he says.
The company, founded in 2018, is a professional employer organization (PEO). It saw 125% growth in new client partnerships and revenue last year. And it introduced master workers’ compensation programs that feature “pay-as-you-go” premium payments.
Kismet, which has nine employees, expanded its internal recruitment team in 2023 and added a director of systems, implementation and analytics to oversee and ensure seamless onboarding and clean payroll processing. The company also migrated to a PEO software platform that provides expanded capabilities such as built-in time and attendance tracking and job scheduling functionality.
“The past several years have been challenging for many businesses and industries due to the effects of the unexpected pandemic,” says Kachulis. “I believe a valuable lesson learned by many of these small- to medium-size businesses revealed the true value a PEO can provide, both in uncertain times as well as normal business conditions.”
Kachulis credits Joe Little, president, who joined in the third quarter of 2022, as playing a pivotal role in steering the company toward growth and positive changes.
In 2024, the company is aiming to add value and address challenges for its expanding list of client partners.
