WARREN – After returning home from his tour of duty in Vietnam with the U.S. military, Dennis Lewis Sr. was ready to start the next chapter of his life.
He partnered with his uncle, who was doing fire and water damage restoration. Then his brother, Carter, joined him and Lewis Construction was established in Warren.
The year was 1970. Today, Carter runs Lewis Construction along with Dennis Jr.
The business transformed in 1975 by getting involved in commercial real estate. It repurposed an old gas station into the present office building.
The construction side also grew with the addition of offices in Akron and Mentor.
And the company bought in to the ServiceMaster restoration business to add water and fire restoration services, while Lewis Construction focuses on reconstruction and commercial projects.
