YOUNGSTOWN – Mars Electric opened a new location at 1208 Ameritech Blvd. in January.
The company, founded in 1952 and based in Mayfield Village, is a third-generation, family-owned distributor of lighting, power distribution and electrical supplies. It serves electrical contractors, building managers, industrial facilities, hospitals and institutions.
Mars Electric employs more than 200 full-time employees.
The company says it’s improving value-added services such as free next-day delivery, same-day emergency deliveries, specialized pipe and colored wire management services and easily searchable and real-time inventory levels on its website.
Mars’ new store in Youngstown is the company’s 12th.
