YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – New Day Recovery opened a detox and residential treatment center in April in Niles. “This expansion demonstrates our commitment to make a positive impact on the lives of those struggling with addiction in Trumbull County and beyond,” says Kate Soeun, chief clinical officer.
The center, which emphasizes a comprehensive approach to addiction recovery, has amenities such as a salon, barbershop, outdoor pavilion and gym. Partnerships with recovery-focused church groups, comedians, animal therapy groups and local bands augment treatment programs.
This year, New Day Recovery plans to make physical improvements at the center, particularly in its outdoor spaces, Soeun says.
Technological improvements are also a focus, with the integration of a new electronic medical records system that is streamlining care and administrative processes.
Last year, New Day provided over 4,000 rides to treatment, “addressing one of the significant barriers to recovery services,” says Sydney Williams, chief development officer.
