COLUMBIANA, Ohio – Work continued in 2023 on Salem Regional Medical Center’s Surgery & Outpatient Pavilion at Firestone Farms TownCenter in Columbiana.
The outpatient pavilion will meet the growing demand for a convenient and lower cost alternative to hospital-based care, according to Michael Santillo, director of public relations.
The 76,600-square-foot building – one of the area’s largest medical facilities – will be completed this spring, he says. It services will open in phases and include:
• ARC Medical Imaging, offering the latest medical imaging technology.
• Firestone Surgery Center, offering a range of minimally invasive, same-day surgical procedures.
•Firestone Infusion Center, providing intravenous therapies and treatments for a variety of chronic conditions.
• Multispecialty physician offices.
Salem Region also is expanding its services into Canfield with a new outpatient center set to open Feb. 19.
The new building, in the Millennial Moments development at U.S. Route 224 and Palmyra Road, will house the SRMC Primary Care-Canfield family medicine practice and ARC Medical Imaging.
SRMC Primary Care will be the practice of Joseph Miladore, M.D., and Kyle R. Marshall, a family nurse practitioner, who will offer services ranging from sick visits to chronic disease management and women’s health care.
ARC Advanced Radiology Center is an independent diagnostic testing facility. It will offer CT scans, 3D mammograms and X-rays, with walk-in availability.
In 2023, the hospital system earned recognition from several sources, Santillo says.
Its breast center was accredited by the American College of Surgeons and was named a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology.
The hospital’s laboratory achieved accreditation by the College of American Pathologists.
And its diabetes program was honored by the American Diabetes Association for excellence in self-management education and support.
