EAST LIVERPOOL – Last year taught the Southern Columbiana County Regional Chamber of Commerce a great deal about strengths, needs and resilience to effectively support its membership, says its president, Marcus Trelaine.
The chamber’s service area of Columbiana County, as well as Hancock County in West Virginia, experienced “significant fluctuations in activity levels over the last 12 months,” he says.
The executive director of the chamber is Lisa Blasdel, who Trelaine credits with an “indomitable spirit that’s a credit to herself and the SCCRCC.”
Blasdel led the chamber as it conducted ribbon-cuttings, community street festivals, networking events and fun business competitions. It also welcomed six new businesses to the area.
Going forward, the chamber is collaborating with the Youngstown Business Incubator to provide startups with business development assistance, interactive training sessions, cost-effective shared workspace, and growth and outreach support, Trelaine says.
