LISBON – Stage Left Players expanded its mission in 2021 to provide a wider range of arts programming.
Overcoming a year in which it was closed because of the pandemic and a burst pipe that flooded its basement, the company rebounded by improvising, says Kandace Cleland, artistic director. Live performances were transitioned to the theater’s website, and the basement was renovated into a dance studio.
The theater is in its 29th season.
New programming this year will include the Spark Storytelling Series, which seeks to bring the community together through the telling of personal stories; a weekly crochet and knitting group; a visual arts program for adults and children, and the signature summer theater program, Kidz on Broadway.
