POLAND, Ohio – Whole-person wellness and achieving a positive work-life balance are at the heart of the work model for Pharmacy Data Management, Inc. (PDMI) and its sister company, IDMI.
The culture of PDMI, which provides technology and other specialized industry solutions for managing health through prescription drug programs, and IDMI, a digital marketing firm, is built on the premise of improving the well-being of team members, clients, and the community. Both offer flexible work scheduling to support life outside of the office – whether that office is from a remote location or on premise at their Poland, Ohio, offices.
Employee feedback is the foundation for creating an enriching employee experience for all team members, which is why a regular schedule of employee surveys has been implemented. As a result of ongoing surveying, the organization’s already robust benefits package of medical, dental and vision benefits; supplemental life insurance; short- and long-term disability benefits; and employer-matched 401(k) was enhanced with Voluntary Life Insurance and most recently, a Paid Parental Leave Policy.
Not to mention, the human resources team regularly evaluates employees’ compensation packages to ensure market competitiveness and adaptation to market changes.
From wellness-centered activities, such as virtual yoga and mindfulness, to in-person afterwork mixers, PDMI/IDMI offers opportunities to connect with teammates and unwind. An inclusive calendar of celebrations helps team members build meaningful relationships that go beyond meetings and emails.
A full slate of informational sessions gives employees deeper insight in maintaining financial health and making the most of the company’s benefits package. A Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiative was launched in 2021. After a series of focus groups, a council of six was established to define a diversity statement, analyze focus group data to identify high priority items, and create a roadmap for DEI initiatives.
The company has already implemented a floating, year-round holiday that employees can use for the religious holiday or cultural celebration of their choice.
PDMI/IDMI’s Training and Development program, led by a dedicated specialist, offers employees a variety of development paths, an in-depth onboarding program and more than 300 lessons to choose from in its learning management system.
An Employee Recognition program allows team members and managers to send notes and digital gift cards to those employees demonstrating Core Values.
Team members also have the opportunity to give back; past community initiatives and involvement include a holiday drive to support Brighten Up for the Kids, food drives supporting Second Harvest Food Bank, community build days for Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and involvement with the community clean up days at Mill Creek Metroparks.
