Barb Ewing has been with Youngstown Business Incubator for over a decade, starting in 2010 and becoming CEO in 2018. Under her visionary leadership, YBI has transformed and expanded significantly, introducing inclusive entrepreneurial programs for women, minorities, veterans, and youth.
During her tenure, the staff grew from three to 20 dedicated employees, while the organization’s budget surged from $800,000 to over $4 million, reflecting her strategic planning and resource management skills. Barb has also positioned YBI to provide advanced manufacturing services to industry and government partners, creating new revenue streams that support economic development and ensure sustainability.
Her extensive experience in economic development and strong community connections have built vital capacity for YBI’s programs. Barb’s dedication and innovative leadership have propelled YBI to new heights, solidifying its role as a key driver of entrepreneurship and economic growth in the region.
