Roseann Panning is vice president of Youngstown Blue Coats (YBC). Roseann (Rosie) has been actively involved with YBC since 2018 when she learned about the group and its mission.
She had collected winter coats to donate at a YBC coat drive in Hubbard. What she discovered at that event – meeting YBC volunteers and understanding their mission to assist homeless veterans and other homeless people – convinced her to get involved.
Before Youngstown Blue Coats, she had retired from a 41-year career in hospital nutrition services. Roseann is also “Master” of our Basket Auctions and fundraising efforts! She is expert at assembling diverse and attractive baskets for auction at our fundraisers and events.
Roseann’s passion for and dedication to YBC’s mission is particularly beautiful as she is married to a veteran (25 years of service in U.S. military). Thus, she knows firsthand the issues and challenges that veterans may experience.
