Artisan Marketplace Set for Downtown Sharon on Saturday

SHARON, Pa. – The #LoveLocal Artisan Marketplace will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, in the former Army Navy building, 47 E. State St., downtown.

The event, now in its second year, will feature live music by Max Schang, sweet treats and children’s activities. More than artisan vendors will show and sell their creations.

“Last year, the #LoveLocal market was one of our most successful events because people are looking for things to do in the winter months,” said Courtney Cilli, downtown events coordinator.

The event will include a hot cocoa bar and cupcake bouquets provided by Sweet Sensations. Children’s activities will include a planter make and take craft with Wholly Organic Microgreens. The first 100 visitors will receive free seed packets from Lots to Love.

Artisans will include Lydalia Gardens flower cart; Two Pups Barkery; Enchanted Gifts; Wickedly Craft Designs; Healing Crystal Creations; Dan DeSantis; Unwind Day Spa; HopeCAT; Elise & Log Photography & Jewelry; Mrs. D’s Art Smarts; A Pastel Petal; Strayhaven; Vine & Branches; Chained Wolf Creations; Robin’s Refills; Random Acts of Artists; No Double Dippin’; Dylan’s Delectable Cookies; Just Love 3:10; Provances Pieces LLC; Krispies by Vel; Amelia’s Crystal Palace; Sparkl’d Permanent Jewelry; Traveling Creekside; and Sharon Beautification Commission, which will offer a hanging basket giveaway.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to meet Allie Adams, owner of Allie’s Sweet Tooth, who will open a full bakery and breakfast eatery in May in the former Army Navy store. She’ll be selling her baked goods and bread at Saturday’s event.

Visitors who make a purchase at the marketplace have the opportunity to win a Sharon Sweetheart Gift Card package, valued at $100, which includes a gift card to Daffin’s Candies, Petals & Stems Floral, The Winner and Just About Hair.

Some of the other shops downtown will offer specials, events and giveaways. These will include Feel the Love Yoga Flow at Evolve; the opening of the gift store at Sharon Historical Society’s Wallis Mansion; a pottery demo at Studio 83; a free paint and take event at ICG-Hobbies and Games; the Haitian Sensation Food truck outside the market; an open house at The Lofts on State Street; chocolate facials and chocolate foot soaks at Unwind Day Spa; and a Love the Library fundraiser at the Community Library of the Shenango Valley.
