Austintown Racino Sees VLT Play Drop Over Month
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Play on video lottery terminals at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course in April was down from March although still ahead of a year ago.
VLT play at the Austintown racino last month totaled $96.60 million last month, compared with March’s record $99.95 million and $90.61 million in April 2016.
VLT play declined statewide month-over-month in April. The monthly results released by the Ohio Lottery Commission showed VLT play declined from $946.59 million in March to just over $893.99 million in April.
Bettors at the Austintown racino last month took home credits totaling $85.73 million, down from $88.68 million in March.
Net win — the amount left after winnings and promotional play is subtracted from credits played — totaled $9.68 million in April, down from $10.10 in March.
The racino — operated by Penn National Gaming Inc. in Wyomissing, Pa. — received $6.41 million as its share of net win, down from $6.68 million.
