Austintown Racino Tops $100M for Second Month
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Wagers on video lottery terminals at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course declined month-over-month in March, but stayed above $100 million for the second consecutive month.
The monthly VLT reports released Monday afternoon by the Ohio Lottery Commission saw wagers at the Austintown racino last month at $103.33 million, down from the record $109.74 million in March but up from the $96.60 million in April 2017.
Wagers statewide dipped as well month-over-month, to $958.82 million in April from $1.04 billion in March.
Mahoning Valley patrons last month took home $91.38 million in winnings, down from the $97.10 million won the month before, but more than the $85.73 million won in April 2016.
Net win – credits played minus credits won and promotional play credits – was $10.51 million last month, compared with $11.38 million in March and $9.68 million a year earlier.
Penn National Gaming Inc., which operates the racino, received $6.95 million out of April’s net win, compared with $7.53 million the month before and $6.41 million in April 2017.
