Author to Speak at One Health Ohio’s 30th Anniversary
WARREN, Ohio – Author and documentary filmmaker Kevin Hines will be the keynote speaker at One Health Ohio’s 30th anniversary celebration dinner tonight at the Avalon Inn and Resort.
The event, which will begin at 6 p.m., is scheduled in conjunction with National Health Center Week, a week honoring community health centers for providing comprehensive primary health care to patients, regardless of their ability to pay.
One Health Ohio has six centers located in Youngstown, Warren, Newton Falls and Alliance. It announced plans in May to move forward on a center in a closed Bottom Dollar Food store on Youngstown’s south side.
The theme of the event is “bridging the gap in health care since 1986,” which signifies the integrated health-care delivery model that ONE Health Ohio provides to patients in the community through medical, dental and behavioral health services
Hines, an award-winning global speaker, bestselling author, documentary filmmaker, is a suicide prevention and mental health advocate. Two years after he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge.
