Edward Koltonski

The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County

Edward Koltonski received both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in history from Kent State University, where he focused on the society and economy of Gilded Age America.

Following that he entered the School of Library and Information Science at KSU where his focuses included reference librarianship, instruction services and information literacy.

After graduating in 2015, Koltonski worked as a business analyst for FactSet Research Systems Inc., where he specialized in the business and public services sector and served on special workgroups that focused on revenues and geographic metrics.

He accepted the position of business and investment librarian in February and has endeavored to continue the library’s mission of providing the best information for users who seek to start and grow their business, develop the economy of the community, or learn more about finance.

Business Resources

The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County Business and Investment Center at the main branch, 305 Wick Ave., connects businesses and organizations with resources that can inspire them and enrich their efforts. The center is a prime source for business books, e-books, databases and programs.

Topics include: statistics, demographic information, locating competition, market research, financial ratios, sample business plan, finding suppliers, sample legal forms, news and trade information, funding information and trade information including exporting and importing.
