Autism Society Names Executive Committee

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Autism Society of Mahoning Valley has named members of its board of directors executive committee.

The officers were nominated and elected based on their commitment to the Mahoning Valley and in advancing the Autism Society’s national mission: “We create connections, empowering everyone in the Autism community with the resources needed to live fully.”

“We are excited to promote board members to serve on our executive committee. We have amazing professionals serving on our board,” says newly named chair Aundréa Cika Heschmeyer. “The board has a direct impact on improving programs and resources for Mahoning Valley families affected by autism. This influx of new leadership within the organization will help us plan for the future.”

Heschmeyer is the owner of Marquee Creatives.

Other members of the executive committee include:

  • Vice-President – Jodi Glass, recruiting and marketing coordinator for MCCTC Adult Career Center.
  • Treasurer – Katie DeGennaro, president and senior banking adviser for PNC Private Bank.
  • Secretary – The Honorable Meghan Brundege, magistrate at the Youngstown Municipal
  • Court.

The role of the Autism Society of the Mahoning Valley, founded in 1989, is to improve the quality of life for all individuals with autism – across the spectrum and throughout the lifespan – by providing broad support, activities, information, and referral. Its secondary role is to act as an advocate for individuals working through life with this disability.
