Avalon Holdings Reports 2Q Net Loss of $400K

WARREN, Ohio — Avalon Holdings Corp. reports net operating revenues in the second quarter of 2020 were $13.1 million compared with $18.4 million in the second quarter of 2019. 

The company recorded a net loss attributable to common shareholders of $400,000 in the second quarter of 2020 compared with net income $500,000 million in prior-year.  Basic net loss per share attributable to common shareholders was 11 cents compared with basic net income per share 12 cents in the second quarter of 2019.

For the first six months of 2020, net operating revenues were $27.5 million compared with $33.0 million in 2019.  The net loss attributable to common shareholders of approximately $1.2 million compares with a net loss of $200,000 in the first six months of 2019. 

For the first six months of 2020, basic net loss was 32 cents compared with basic net loss of 4 cents in the first six months of 2019.

Avalon Holdings Corporation provides waste management services, captive landfill management services and salt water injection well operations. 

The company owns Avalon Resorts and Clubs Inc., which includes the operation of a hotel here and its associated resort amenities, four golf courses and related country clubs and a multipurpose recreation center.
