Baird Brothers Wraps Up Production on ‘Renovation Hunters’

CANFIELD, Ohio – After about a year of creating podcasts and shows at its Studio 3B, Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods is finishing production on a different type of show.

Steve Stack, Studio 3B host and director of new business development, says the company will appear on the upcoming Outdoors Channel series “Renovation Hunters.” The show will give free renovations to lodges, cabins and vacation homes that will encourage families to spend time outdoors.

After traveling to Nebraska and Virginia earlier this year for shooting, Stack left Sunday for the final location.

“It’s been good,” says Stack. “It’s about family coming together and keeping some of the outdoor lifestyle alive.”

Filming is set to wrap up Aug. 9 at a site in western Pennsylvania, Stack says. The first episode is set to air in early January.

After working with the show “This Old House” on the Roku channel, Stack says he is optimistic for what this new show could mean for Baird.

“‘This Old House’ has been a phenomenal relationship,” he says. “We have seen new customers from that and great relationships. We really believe that ‘Renovation Hunters’ is going to have the same effect for us.”

Stack says the new show, like “This Old House,” will give Baird Brothers a national presence. Viewers will be repeatedly steered to the Baird Brothers website where certain items can be purchased.

“Probably in mid-September, hopefully, we will be hosting the cast and crew from ‘Renovation Hunters’ here at the facility and so we will have a day of touring and shooting the facility and then spend some time creating podcasts back here at Studio 3B,” says Stack.

Baird Brothers created Studio 3B – its on-site arm for video and podcast production – about a year ago.

Josie Puskar, iSynergy vice president of marketing, was one of the Studio 3B team members there for the show’s first trip, which was to Nebraska. Although she says she didn’t know what to expect in a town of 150 people, she says she encountered some of the most kind, fun and generous people there.

“Everyone in this town has each other’s back, including ours,” says Puskar. “We left knowing we had a place to stay anytime we came back to visit. The most exciting part was actually getting to work on the project ourselves while showing off Baird’s superior fine hardwoods.”

Stack says Baird’s work with the show is not the only new thing for the company. A new flooring product line will soon be released and a new batch of podcast and 3B Studio show episodes are in the works.

“Before we know it, we will be starting to travel for our home shows again in January,” says Stack. “We’ll go from busy to a little of a lull and then the first of the year starts and 2023 will be off to the races.”
