Baird Brothers Joins This Old House’s 2019 Idea House
CANFIELD, Ohio – This Old House Ventures LLC is partnering with Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods for the second year in a row to install woodwork at the Idea House project. The project house, in downtown New Canaan, Conn., will be featured in This Old House magazine and on ThisOldHouse.com.
Last year, Baird Brothers provided all of the interior doors, trim and hardwood flooring for two other This Old House projects: the 2018 Idea House and the Jamestown Net-Zero Project House.
“Our philosophy has always been to go big or go home,” said Terry Baird, second generation owner, in a statement. “Partnering with This Old House in 2018 put us on a stage like we’d never been on before.”
This Old House’s Idea House was created to give fans ideas and insight from a concept home that incorporates innovative building materials and inspiring design ideas. The 2019 project, the brand’s fifth, is a 6,000-square-foot Greek Revival home.
“We are chomping at the bit to get going on the 2019 Idea House,” said Steve Stack, sales director at Baird Brothers. “It’s fun to watch our products show themselves off when craftsman at that level put them to use.”
Based in Canfield, Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods manufactures and sells architectural hardwood products including mouldings, handrails, stair parts, flooring and more.
This Old House Ventures producesThis Old House and Ask This Old House, both of which are presented on PBS.
