Baird Brothers Part of ‘This Old House’ Idea House Project

CANFIELD, Ohio — Baird Brothers Fine Hardwoods will be part of the first “This Old House” Idea House project in 2021.

The project marks Baird’s ninth project with “This Old House,” and will use a number of hardwood products from Baird. 

The Idea House project, dubbed the 2021 Modern Barnhouse, is located 20 minutes outside of St. Paul, Minn. Remodeler, designer and television personality Amy Matthews will go through the process of creating her dream house.

“This exciting project is off to a running start,” says Steve Stack, director of new business development at Baird Brothers. “Amy has already handpicked several Baird Brothers products and we’re excited to see how she makes the house come to life.”

The Modern Barnhouse will be highlighted in the fall 2021 issue of “This Old House” magazine, and will be revealed at ThisOldHouse.com in July. 

“Through all my years working in home improvement television, This Old House has always remained the gold standard, the original real deal,” Matthews said. “I’m thrilled that my Modern Barnhouse has been chosen as their 2021 Idea House! After co-hosting a show with Kevin O’Connor years ago, I couldn’t wait to work with the stellar team at This Old House again, and to now be spearheading this iconic brand’s first Midwest Idea House is a dream come true.”
