BBB Extends Deadline for Scholarship Applications
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The deadline to apply for the Better Business Bureau’s Ethics and Integrity Scholarship Program has been extended to May 15.
The program offers five $1,000 one-year scholarships to graduating high school seniors who are employed by, or are the children or grandchildren of, a BBB-accredited business.
The scholarships are awarded based on demonstration of leadership skills, community service, academic achievement, and a written essay on what ethics and integrity mean to the candidate.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a high school senior with a primary residence in Columbiana, Mahoning or Trumbull county.
- Have plans to attend a college, university, community college, or trade school in the year immediately following high school graduation.
- Submit required materials, postmarked or emailed by May 15.
- Be available on July 14 to receive the scholarship award at the BBB’s scholarship presentation.
