BBB to Present 2024 Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Better Business Bureau will honor local businesses and leaders for their roles in building trust across the Mahoning Valley.

The BBB serving Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties will present the 2024 Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust at 11:30 a.m. June 5 at The Lake Club in Poland. The event, which will be hosted by Lindsey Watson of WKBN, celebrates BBB Accredited Businesses and community leaders that exemplify BBB standards for trust.

Torch Awards for Marketplace Trust will be presented to Rick’s Ranchwear, Soft Touch Furniture and Compco.

Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley will receive the Torch Award for Nonprofit Excellence, and Germaine Bennett will receive the Torch Award for Civic Leadership.

The Torch Awards are made possible due to the support of BBB TrustBuilders, a group of banking institutions in the Mahoning Valley with long-term commitments to earn and keep the public’s trust. BBB TrustBuilders include Premier Bank, PNC Bank, Farmers National Bank and Huntington Bank. 

BBB will also award area high school students with Ethics & Integrity Scholarships sponsored by Farmers Trust Company and #1 Cochran. Scholarship applications can be found HERE.
