Beta Gamma Sigma Inducts 49 YSU Students

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society, recently installed 49 students from Youngstown State University’s Williamson College of Business Administration.

To be considered for Beta Gamma Sigma, students must be registered for a business administration program and be candidates for the baccalaureate or master’s degree, ranking in the top 10% as a sophomore, junior or senior or top 20% of their master’s program.

Those honored this year are:

  • Sophomores: Jack Brant (Management), Kylie Ciccolelli (Accounting), Lien Huynh (Accounting), Clement Mainguy (Business Administration), Lane Rhodes (Business Administration) and Thao Tran (Accounting). 
  • Juniors: Kamden Batchik (Marketing), Edward Boczar (Finance), Dylan Brown (Finance with a minor in Entrepreneurship), Haley Dorion (Human Resource Management with a minor in Marketing), Grace Economus (Accounting), Lexie Gentry (Human Resource Management), Mandy McIntosh (Accounting), Jordan Miller (Accounting), Jared Pfister (Management), Alexander Price (Finance), Olivia Robinson (Finance), Hunter Stoots (Business Administration), Ashely Thompson (Accounting) and Isaac Thompson (Management with a minor in Marketing).

Additionally, Omer Genc, associate professor of management and marketing, was inducted as a faculty member.

Lisa Metzinger, a partner at Cohen & Co., was the keynote speaker and chapter honoree. Metzinger serves on the business advisory board at Williamson College of Business Administration, the Honors College Advisory Board at YSU and the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation. In 2019 she was named the Outstanding M.B.A. Alumna for the YSU business school.

Beta Gamma Sigma has more than 900,000 members in all 50 states and more than 190 countries. This is the 24th induction class at YSU, which has now honored 1,081 students.

This year’s YSU BGS student officers are Annabelle Himes, president, along with Corinne Daniels, Kaitlyn Helt, Rebecca Catlos and Cassandra Snopik, vice presidents. Jeong Hoon Choi is the chapter advisor.
