Bettors Wager $115.7M at Austintown Racino

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Video lottery terminal wagers at Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course hit $115.70 million in July, the Ohio Lottery Commission reported Wednesday afternoon. 

That represented the third-highest month for VLT wagers since Penn National Gaming Inc. opened the Austintown racino September 2014. That figure was only exceeded by the $118.99 million reported in March and May’s $116.32 million total. 

Wagers have consistently exceeded $100 million since February of this year.

The July total was up from $112.01 million in June and from $102.19 million in July 2018. 

Patrons at the racino won $102.96 million, compared with $99.36 million in June and $90.74 million in July 2018.

Wyomissing, Pa.-based Penn National’s share of the take for the month was $7.16 million. The lottery commission, which oversees VTT play in Ohio, received $3.63 million. 

Statewide, VLT wagers totaled $1.02 billion in July, with patrons taking home $906.19 million.
