Big Projects Means Increased Man-Hours for Builders

POLAND, Ohio — The Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania held its 53rd Annual Meeting at The Lake Club Wednesday evening.

Kevin Reilly, executive vice president of the builders association noted major projects like the Ultium Cells battery plant in Lordstown was the biggest reason for a spike in man hours in 2022. He hopes to see the same thing happen in 2023 with the $1.2 billion Trumbull Energy Center.

“Hopefully they follow a similar path and that contractor that they select to do that will employ local workforce and some local subcontractors working for them,” Reilly said.
