Boaks Trust How United Way Meets Community Needs

When Sam and Donna Boak “saw what was happening in downtown Youngstown” in the immediate days and weeks, following the realty tower explosion, “We felt we needed to try to help,” Sam Boak says. “We didn’t know where to start or who to give money to. So we did our research and we came up with United Way. They know who needs help, why they need it and where to put contributions best.”

Adds Donna Boak, “There’s such a need in our valley and beyond and somehow United Way encompasses all these needs. United Way has so much capacity for different avenues of peoples’ needs.”
